Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): The Government High School, Pongo was inaugurated by S. Pangnyu Phom, Parliamentary Secretary Rural Development & REPA as the chief guest on February 19. Imkonglemba IAS, Commissioner Secretary, School Education was the guest of honour. The chief guest and the guest of honour encouraged the people to take the importance of education seriously and cooperate with the government for all round development. They also promised the people of the village that the Government will speed up the development of the High School infra-structure and the deployment of teachers.
The inaugural programme organized by the Pongo Village was chaired by the Deputy Inspector of School, Longleng and short speeches were delivered by Dr. L. Anjo Keikung, Chairman, Pongo Village Vision 2024, Khevito, Director, School Education and Nihekhu, Deputy Commissioner, Longleng. Vote of thanks was delivered by Anungla Jamir, DEO, Longleng. Besides the people of the village, the function was well attended by the district level officers and a host of public leaders.
