Pangnyu inaugurates MGNREGA MIS Training centre

Kohima, August 25 (DIPR): Inauguration of State MGNREGA Management Information System and the launching of Rural Development department website www.nregs.nagaland.org was held on August 25 at Directorate of Rural Development Kohima with Parliamentary Secretary for RD and REPA, Pangnyu Phom inaugurating and launching the website as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, he said that the website and the MGNREGA, MIS Training will go a long way in addressing the needs of the people and with the facilities available, the officers and staff should bring good images for the Department. He calls on all the officers and staffs particular at the Block and Village levels to maintain proper records and gave correct data’s and Information on time. He also said that National flagship programme are being implemented by the Department, the officers and should be well equipped with the latest technology for the successful implementation of the various programme. He also appealed to all the staff to be more sincere and dedicated and to work harder and be present in their place of posting and further called upon all the officers and staff to serve the people to the best of one’s own abilities.
Commissioner & Secretary, V. Sakhrie in his short speech said that it is one of the most important events in the history of the Department to have the latest technology, which will go a long way in addressing the needs of the people. He said the main purpose of launching the website is to disseminate the information and further added that all the information of the department are in the website and is transference which will serve the people and work with accountability.
Director RD, Metsubo Jamir in his chairman’s remark said that the Department is lucky to have Pangnyu Phom leadership since he was working in the same department earlier who knows the problems and needs of the Department. The Director also informed all the staff to be present in their posting place. The chief guest was accompanied by MLA & Chairman NHHDC, Shetoi. Around 150 Computer Operators and Officers from all the districts and blocks attended the function.
