Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The Department of Philosophy, Patkai Christian College (Autonomous), organised a workshop titled “Aesthetics of Self: Confidence and Appearance” to promote self-confidence, personal grooming, and awareness of career opportunities in the beauty and wellness sector.
The resource person for the workshop was Calvina Zhimomi, proprietor of Glamazon Unisex Salon and Academy. With over 25 years of experience in the beauty industry, she has worked with reputed beauty brands and has also been associated with Lakmé Fashion Week.

In her address, Zhimomi emphasised that grooming is a form of self-expression and described makeup as an art that enhances natural beauty.
The workshop featured live demonstrations with student volunteers, covering haircare, haircuts tailored to face shape, skincare routines, pre-makeup preparation, foundation application, and suitable makeup techniques for both men and women.
The session also included interactive discussions, with students participating through questions on grooming, skincare, and career prospects in the beauty industry.
