Patton assures to stop constable training fees

Kohima, March 12 (MExN): Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has assured that he will disallow charging the training fees upon the qualified candidates in the police constable recruitment. Replying to supplementary question raised by MLA Achumbemo Kikon at the 8th session of 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in Kohima on March 12, Patton, who holds Home portfolio, said that he was not aware of the purported training fees at Rs 2500 per qualified candidates. “If that file come to me, I will keep in the Cold Storage till those qualified candidates completed the training,” he said. If anyone comes across such collections, inform us” he said, and warned that any officer he/or she is caught in such thing will be suspended.
