Chümoukedima, August 26 (MExN): Department of Commerce, Patkai Christian College (PCC) organised a master class on ‘Print Perspective 101: Diverse Marketing and PR’ at college’s conference hall on August 26.

Dr Moalemba Jamir, Associate Editor of The Morung Express as the resource person shared insights on the elements of advertisement, significance of public relations, and various advertising strategies.

A press release issued by the college stated that the session delved into the realm of public relations (PR), where Dr Jamir highlighted its purpose stating PR fosters positive relationships between organisations and their consumers. He underlined the role of advertising and PR in shaping a brand's image and promoting its products or services. 

He discussed how effective communication strategies can influence consumer behaviour and help companies achieve their goals.
The seminar explored various types of print advertisements, including display ads, jacket ads, retail and corporate ads, political ads, social awareness ads, public notice ads, and advertorials. Dr Jamir elaborated on each type, discussing their unique characteristics.

Dr Jamir highlighted the importance of understanding readers’ behaviour and preferences to maximise the impact of the content.
