Dimapur, October 19 (MExN): Initiating and stressing the importance on wood based industries to improve the overall economy of the State while being able to provide the raw materials sustainably without harming the environment, Dhramendra Prakash, IFS, PCCF & HoFF Nagaland held a series of meetings with stakeholders of the Saw-Veener-Ply Mills, furniture units, MSME, Industries and NIDC at Forest Office Complex Dimapur on October 18 and 19. 

The PCCF & HoFF emphasised on making Nagaland a major brand in wood and wood products and that our state is blessed with abundant natural resources and there is need to tap these resources, value add, create the brand and export at national/international level.

Various issues were discussed to bring about achievable goals to improve the economy of the State while creating ample employment opportunities in the field of wood based sector.

The PCCF & HoFF was accompanied by N Senthil Kumar, IFS, APCCF and Zuthunglo Patton, IFS, CF (STC) Nagaland, stated a press release. 

The PCCF & HoFF later held a meeting with all the Forest Officers, Executive & Ministerial staff based in Dimapur. He exhorted all present to perform the duty with best of their ability while keeping fit and being healthy. Issues and problems related to service were highlighted by the staff which was assured to be resolved by the PCCF & HoFF. 

The meetings were chaired by Beizo Suokhrie, IFS, DFO Dimapur, a host of senior officers of the department, MSME, Industries and NIDC were also present.
