PDCCI raises concern over poor telecom service

PHEK, AUGUST 30 (MExN): The Phek District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PDCCI) has expressed serious concern over poor telecom services in Phek Area and Phek Town. The Chamber said that residents, students, and business communities rely heavily on internet connectivity for daily work, and network issues since July 2025—including frequent call drops and network fluctuations—have caused major disruptions. PDCCI has demanded that the service provider resolve the issue by September 7, 2025, warning that failure to do so may compel the Chamber to take further action. The Chamber also noted that despite publishing notices in local newspapers on August 7 and 8, there has been no improvement. It further warned that continuous negligence could lead to a lockdown of the local telecom office until the problem is addressed.
