PDCCI terminates membership of Phek-based general store over alleged violations

Phek, April 21 (MExN): The Phek District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PDCCI) has terminated the membership of a general store in Phek Town over alleged violations of its rules and regulations.

In a press release issued by PDCCI President Razoukhruyi Dozo and General Secretary Pio Veswu, the chamber stated that the establishment, under the claimed proprietorship of Huvosa Venuh (Regn. No. 07, Phek Town), was reviewed following reported instances of misconduct and non-compliance.

According to the release, the alleged violations were attributed to an employee identified as Pappu Yadav, who was accused of involvement in multiple offences, including the sale of expired products and behaviour deemed inconsistent with PDCCI norms.

According to the PDCCI, it had proposed a bond agreement requiring the replacement of the employee within a stipulated period. However, the proprietor reportedly declined to sign the agreement despite discussions with PDCCI officials and senior members.

In view of the alleged continued non-compliance, the chamber decided to terminate the membership and registration of the establishment with immediate effect, the release stated.

The PDCCI further advised the public to exercise caution while engaging in business with the said establishment. It also directed its subordinate units to refrain from associating with the individual named in the release in any official or business capacity.

All members have been urged to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the PDCCI.
