Imphal, January 27 (MExN): The Office of the Joint Controller of Communication Accounts, Department of Telecommunications (DoT), NE II Circle organised a ‘Pension Adalat’ at the BSNL Conference Hall, Imphal, on January 27 to redress pension-related grievances of pensioners from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and the Department of Telecommunications.
The Pension Adalat witnessed a significant turnout of pensioners, reflecting active participation in the grievance redressal process. Pension-related issues raised by the pensioners were examined and addressed by officials through on-the-spot clarifications and necessary action, informed the PIB Kohima in a statement.
The initiative provided a platform for direct interaction between pensioners and departmental officials, enabling timely resolution of routine pensionary issues, it said.
The Pension Adalat asserted the commitment of the department towards safeguarding the interests of pensioners and strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms through regular outreach initiatives, it said.
Pensioners reportedly expressed satisfaction over the handling of their grievances and appreciated the efforts made to ensure transparent and responsive service delivery, it added.
