Peren CSOs appeal for adherence to Ceasefire ground rules by all 

Peren, April 14 (MExN): The Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) of Peren district today said that for adherence to Ceasefire ground rules is of paramount importance not only with Indian Security forces but among National Workers.

In this connection, the CSOs appealed all the National workers of Nagaland to desist from such acts that create “law and order situation in Peren District, particularly inter-factional confrontation, when the whole Naga society is yearning for peaceful political settlement at this juncture." 

“Any intra dispute must be tackled and resolved through dialogue among brothers. We have had enough in the past, let peace and harmony prevail and shun activities that vitiates harmony in our fragile society,” stated a press release issued by the Zeliangrong Baudi, Nagaland, representing the CSOs. 

The appeal came against the backdrop of the reported arrest of one senior member of the NSCN-K (Nikki Group) by NSCN (IM) on April 12. 

Expressing its dismay over such incident, Zeliangrong Baudi noted that fortunately it did “not escalate to serious confrontation by the intervention senior officials of the NSCN (IM) and the arrested person was released unharmed. “
