Peren DTF to ramp up testing, vaccination exercise

Peren, July 19 (MExN): Peren District Task Force on COVID-19 and vaccination committee meeting was held under the chairmanship of DC Peren, Sentiwapang Aier, who is also the DTF Chairman at DC's Conference Hall, Peren on July 19.

A DIPR report said that Dy CMO Peren, Dr Lanuakum highlighted on the positivity rate of COVID and testing report in the district, where he informed that so far, positive cases in the district is 741, currently active cases is 18 and positivity rate of the district is 8.1%.

Dr Kiholi highlighting on the vaccination status of the district stated, as on July 18 report, a total of 19,843 doses (inclusive of both doses) has been administered in the district and overall coverage stands at 26%.

In the meeting, the DTF & Vaccination Committee members deliberated on the review of Unlock-3 guidelines, ramping up of testing or vaccination exercise in the district and improper functioning of ambulance services in the district.

Representative from Kuki Inpi Nagaland expressed their concerns regarding the posting of doctors at Primary Health Centre Ahthibung where the DTF Chairman assured to take up the matter urgently.

Medical Department requested the DTF to issue separate order informing the SDTF and Village Councils to provide cooperation with the Medical Department during testing, contact tracing and vaccination drives in order to fulfill the required target.
