Peren, October 15 (MExN): Two-wheeler taxi service was flag-off at the Deputy Commissioner Office, Peren New headquarter on October 15.
Flagging off the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner Peren, Hiazu Meru stated that the two-wheeler taxi service “is more than just a business, but a movement to solve transportation and communication challenges faster through the congestion and traffic delays.”
As per the DIPR report, DC Peren also stated that this facility is an accessible and economical transport system for everyone and this beginning is empowering livelihoods beyond serving the passengers to create new earning opportunities for the community.
Meru encouraged them to use helmets to ensure safety and advised the Scooty taxi drivers to be very gentle and humble to the passengers to earn a good image of the district. He also urged all the taxi drivers to give their cooperation to the Government and follow the advice and guidelines issued to them.
The flag-off programme was presided by Kum Mhashumi T Ezung, EAC Peren, while Haudibe proposed a short speech on behalf of the taxi drivers. The Fellowship Pastor, Nlumbui offered a dedicatory prayer, and Kum. Heusuizailie Centre Manager, SCK, IDAN proposed the vote of thanks.
