The season has finally arrived where everyone is busying trying to make it 'perfect' yes I am talking about Christmas, the awaited December.... The merryment, the rejoicing, the feasting all inching towards the finale day 25th December.. There is celebration in the air and why not it's Christmas!!!
But as we celebrate let us also sit back and think what makes this month or season special , what expectations do we have for Christmas or what can we do to focus more on the real meaning of Christmas . As when we don't ponder upon the real reason behind this joy it is very easy to miss the real meaning or reason behind this celebration.
For me personally over a period of time Christmas sums up the perfect gift in God sending his only beloved son which can't be more perfect and we should be thankful for that perfect gift to us.
Have you ever wondered, everyone wants to be perfect in whatever they do… we want to bake the perfect cake, make the perfect decorations, belt out the perfect melodies and the list goes on so perfection is something we all try to achieve and go at length to get it but we miss what has already been given to us freely and without the need to be perfected, God gift to mankind, eternal joy and life. The perfect gift to you and me, the real reason of the season "for his so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16 so if we truly believe and receive it in the right spirit it is ours without a price and effort.
As the celebratory spirit sets in and you are making all preparations to make it perfect may the real reason of the season, God Love for you and I prevail and let us welcome him in our hearts. Let the real joy of Christmas be born in your hearts as you celebrate with your loved ones and friends.
