The grand reopening of the Perfection Unisex Spa & Salon was held at Duncan Basti, Dimapur with Advisor for Department of Agriculture, Mhathung Yanthan being invited as the chief guest for the event on August 22.

In his speech, the Advisor mentioned that there has been a growing demand for grooming and wellness services in the state and establishments such as this will go a long way in providing them for the customers. He also lauded the efforts of the proprietor for venturing into a business where it would provide employment for a number of youths.

“As we all know everyone in Nagaland looks for a government job but unfortunately it has reached a saturation point,” he said. As such, it was up to the entrepreneurs and the business folks of the private to create more jobs and for which Nagaland has innumerable opportunities, the Advisor viewed.

Speaking with the proprietor and Style Director, Zareni Kikon, she regarded the occasion as an important milestone for her as her passion has been to blend ‘beauty with attitude.’

She shared that prior to opening up her own business establishment; she had worked in Bangalore for almost 8 years as a hairstylist. So equipped with these past experiences and a passion to bring this service back home, she opened her own store in Dimapur in the year 2014.

In the beginning, Kikon noted that it was a challenge to run her business as there were only a few customers. “At that time, people still did not know about the concepts of professional grooming services,” she said. Gradually things started to improve however as she began to educate and explain to her customers about the services being provided.

Her salon will be staffed by two top stylists, two hair stylists, three therapists, three beauty experts and a manager.

Moreover, the store will feature an in-house training room where individuals can avail practical skill training classes.

“We also have our social media pages at Facebook and Instagram for people to inquire about the services being provided here,” she mentioned.
