Dimapur, February 10 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Sushil Kumar Patel (IAS) convened a meeting of PWD officials in his official chamber on February 9 to assess the progress of the bridges which are under construction in Dimapur. In the meeting, DC Dimapur directed the EE PWD (R&B) and UDO to personally monitor the progress of the bridges under construction. “If in case the bridges could not be completed before the onset of monsoon,” Sushil Kumar Patel advised the department “to make all efforts for making alternative arrangements, so that public does not suffer.” EE PWD (R&B) briefed the house about the status of the 3 bridges under construction in Dimapur which are: RCC Girder Bridge over Dhansiri River at Nagarjan; RCC Girder Bridge over Chathe Diphupar B behind Referral Hospital; and RCC Girder Bridge over Bailijan before Vihokhu village. The engineer informed that works are being carried out on 24×7 basis. The house also agreed to give ROW for improvement of city portion of Dimapur (106.9km) to Patkai Bridge (124.20km) to EE, PWD (NH) Dimapur.
