External Assessment for National Quality Assurance Standards certification underway at Primary Health Centre , Mongsenyimti.

MOKOKCHUNG, OCTOBER 10 (MExN): Primary Health Centre (PHC) Mongsenyimti is undergoing external assessment for National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) certification on October 10–11, under the National Quality Assurance Programme.
The assessment is being conducted by external assessors Dr Sankar Roy and Dr Rajiv Kumar Sharma, who are evaluating the facility in accordance with NQAS guidelines. The exercise aims to determine the health centre’s readiness for national certification and assess its compliance with global benchmarks for public health facilities in India. The evaluation covers key areas, including service provision, patient rights, support services, clinical care, infection control, and quality management.
During a short introductory programme, Dr Maongkala, Medical Officer, PHC Mongsenyimti, presented the profile of the facility, which oversees six Health & Wellness Centres, covering eight villages and serving a population of 4,558.
In his welcome address, Dr Takosune P. Ao, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, thanked the assessors and lauded PHC Mongsenyimti, led by Dr Maongkala, for its instrumental contributions during the three-year NQAS journey.
The programme was also attended by Linukyanger, Pastor of Mongsenyimti Baptist Church, and Sakumeren, HCMC Chairman. The assessment is being assisted by a team from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, led by Dr Ajemrenla, DQM Mokokchung.
