Phek DPDB recommends award for cleanest village & colony

Kohima, May 7 (DIPR): The Phek District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) during its monthly meeting recommended opening new school in Meluri (S.Pethury Montessori School), grant-in-aid and up-gradation of Little Star School, Dzulhami, opening of new school at Sekruzu, award for cleanest village in the district and cleanest colony in Phek Town. The meeting was held at the DPDB conference hall under the chairmanship of Chotisuh Sazo, Speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly and chairman DPDB Phek.

Addressing the meeting, Sazo expressed his gratitude to the district administration and the government employees involved in the peaceful conduct of poll process in the district which was held recently. He directed all the heads of offices in the district to submit their departmental activities to him with a copy to Deputy Commissioner & District Planning Officer, Phek for compilation in the DPDB booklet latest by May 31, 2014.

Newly posted officers, namely V.Lovitoly Sema, ADC Phek HQ and T.L.Kiusemang Tikhir, SDO (Civil) Chizami were introduced to the house.

A review of the performance of Phek DPDB for the period April 2013 to March 2014 was presented by the District Planning Officer, Phek. In the review, District Planning Officer highlighted that the DPDB had made 28 recommendations to the government, out of which authority concerned responded to 8 cases, 17 issues are pending with government, and three cases were not materialized.

The chairman suggested that this should be a checklist for the department concerned for follow up action. In case of any difficulty, they may approach the elected representative of the district, Sazo assured.

Departmental activities were presented by Dr. R.K.Singh, KVK Porba, Phek. In the next DPDB meeting, social welfare department and food & civil supply department will present their activities.
