Phek Road show gets imprinted in book

Kuzholuzo Nienu, Minister (H&FW), Soveni, President, CPO and Chotisuh Sazo, Parliamentary Secretary at the release of the coffee table book on Phek Road Show on September 1.
 
Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): In a simple function held today at the Conference Hall of the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kuzholuzo Nienu, Minister, Health & Family Welfare, officially handed over to the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO), 350 copies of a Coffee table book published to commemorate the State Road Show held at Phek district during January 14 – 15, 2010. The proceeds from the sale of the Pictorial Book will go towards implementation of the six-point Pledge taken by the CPO during the Road Show.
A press note from Commr. & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Menukhol John stated that Kuzholuzo thanked God Almighty for his blessings for the success of the Phek Road Show. Nienu said the pictorial book has been brought out by the Department of Health & Family Welfare to commemorate the Phek Road Show, so that as the years pass, the event will always remain in the minds of the people. He appealed the CPO to put in sincere efforts in carrying forward the pledge adopted during the Road show and also asked them to attend the upcoming Phek DPDB meeting on October 10, 2011 so that implementation of the pledge can be discussed in detail.
The note stated that Chotisuh Sazo, Parliamentary Secretary, Social Welfare, Child & Women Development in his opening address thanked the Department of Health & Family Welfare for the thoughtful gesture shown for the welfare of the Chakhesang community.
Also, Soveni, President, CPO, who spoke on behalf of the organisation, stated that this pictorial book will go a long way in preserving the history and culture of the district and of the Chakhesang community; he gave his assurance that the CPO will sincerely implement the pledge in every village of Phek district.
The note mentioned that during the State Road Show at Phek district during January 14 to 15, 2011, the Chakhesang Public Organisation had taken a pledge and committed to implement the following activities: to ensure that all the children in the district are fully immunized;  to ensure that all pregnant women avail ante natal check ups; to make Phek the cleanest district; to activate and intensify people’s participation in village health & sanitation days; to protect and conserve environment ; and to work with dignity, honesty and integrity in any field.
