Phek, May 14 (MExN): Phek Town Baptist Church (PTBC) organised a fellowship programme with district heads of offices at its conference hall on Wednesday with the aim of strengthening trust and cooperation between government officials and church leaders for the development of the district.

Deputy Commissioner of Phek Rhosietho Ngouri attended the programme and expressed appreciation to the leadership of PTBC for organising what he described as the first initiative of its kind in the district.

Addressing the gathering, the deputy commissioner encouraged officers to remain committed to public service and work towards the welfare and upliftment of the district.

“Government job is to serve the people with dedication,” he said.

Sharing the message from the Bible, Rev Dr Vesopa Tetseo, Pastor of PTBC, spoke on the importance of environmental protection in Nagaland and urged the gathering to be responsible stewards of nature.

Vesatolû Cûrhah, Associate Pastor (Women Leader) of PTBC, who also led the fellowship programme, offered a special prayer for the heads of offices present at the event.

A special song titled “I Will Live in Glory” was presented by a quartet during the programme.

The invocation prayer was delivered by Tekhewe Khutsoh, Associate Pastor of PTBC, while the benediction was pronounced by Chivo Medeo, Associate Pastor (Youth).
