Phesama students converge for general session

Phesama Students Union (PSU) held its 56th annual general session at St Paul’s Auditorium, Phesama on December 28 with Keneidino, Principal Private Secretary, Nagaland Civil Secretary, Government of Nagaland as speaker.


Speaking on the topic, “Sacrifice today for better tomorrow,” she implored on how giving oneself the utmost care and love is indispensible for according service to the society.


Mentioning that a strong foundation is salient to becoming a successful person in future, Keneidino urged the students to strive and give cardinal importance right from nursery to 10th standard.


Sharing her concern on how technology has become a force of distraction and disturbance to the society, the speaker advised them to reflect on giving quality time to the self, both for intellect and body.


Ketounizo Kar, President, PSU delivering his Presidential Address stated that the student’s performance in the village has improved considerably with laudable marks over the years. He at the same time reminded on the responsibilities of the students, the need to secure and bring progress in the society and upholds the values of the village.


Earlier, the programme was chaired by Rokotono Chütso and Fr Arul Susai SJ, Rector, St Paul’s Institute of Education, Phesama pronounced the invocation.


Phesama Village in close proximity to Kisama Heritage Village, students also debated and deliberated on the boon and bane of Hornbill Festival. The against bench strongly noted that the festival is “morally degrading” the society and promoting VIP culture while the others defended that the village is gaining economic benefit, getting exposure and employment opportunity.
