KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 12 (MExN): The Western Angami Students’ Union (WASU) organised the 8th Zasinihu Memorial Trophy-cum-2nd WASU Women’s Volleyball Tournament 2025 from November 6 to 8 at Sechüma Mechü Dzie.
In the football event, Phoenix FC clinched the championship title, receiving a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with a trophy, while Zasivi Peseyie FC finished runner-up and was awarded Rs 30,000.
In the women’s volleyball category, Mezoma Students’ Union emerged as champion, securing Rs 20,000, and Khonoma Students’ Union took the runner-up title with Rs 10,000.
A total of 15 teams competed in the football event, while eight teams participated in the women’s volleyball tournament. The event was hosted by the Sechiima Students’ Union.
