Phek, January 12 (MExN): Phoyisha Cultural Organisation celebrated cultural day with Dr Pritpal Kaur, SP Phek as special guest at Yisisotha village in Meluri, Phek on January 10. Valedictory function was graced by Chitho Nyusou, Advocate.
Dr Kaur unfurled the flag and inaugurated the programme, stated a DIPR report. She spoke on significance of cultural values and urged everyone to preserve their rich heritage and culture. She asked to document one's histories and generational traditions.
Dr Kaur also motivated the youths to follow their dreams and career instead of drugs or other intoxicants to make their tribe and society more peaceful and prosperous.

The cultural troupes and teams for traditional games were from ten villages including Phor, New Phor, Wuzu, Molen, Yisi, Shatuza, Weziho, Yisisota, Hutsii and Kiizatii.
Traditional bow and arrow archery, singing, dancing and traditional game competitions were held. Earlier, invocation was proposed by Pastor S Kochu and welcome address by Kuiyiphu Sharu, Chairman PCO.
