Peren, February 20 (MExN): The College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry Jalukie in collaboration with ICAR-NDRI-ERS Kalyani conducted free piglets distribution cum animal health camp at Samzuiram, Peren district and distributed 45 piglets, vaccinated dogs against rabies and treated 1011 numbers of cases on February 20.
A press release received here stated that Dr Gunjan Das, Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine welcomed the gathering. Dr Captain G Dhanan Jaya Rao, Dean, COVSC & AH, Jalukie expressed his wishes to help the farmers of Samziuram village to increase their livelihood. He also informed that a team of experienced faculty of the College is visiting the nearby villages regularly to provide free veterinary health camp.
Dr SK Das, Dr A Sandra and Dr DK Mandal, Principal Scientist of ICAR NDRI-ERS Kalyani also spoke on the occasion. Dr Uttarani Maibam, Assistant Professor, Department of Veterinary Physiology proposed word of thanks. The animal health camp was co-organized by the NSS unit of the College under the leadership of Dr Imtiwati, Assistant Professor, Department of Livestock Production Management, College of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry.
