Playfield under RURBAN Mission in Kohima Village

A Playfield of L Khel, Kohima village was inaugurated by K Neibou Sekhose, Joint Director, Department of rural development, Nagaland, Kohima on September 9.

This playfield, located at Middle L Khel was constructed under RURBAN Mission during 2019-2020 and funded by RD Block, Kohima.

Speaking on the occasion, Sekhose expressed happiness over the completion of this playfield with quality work.

Sekhose was optimistic that the youngsters would make the best use of the provided facility and excel in the field of sports both within and outside the state.

He also told the sportspersons to prioritize the sports discipline they are good at and avoid multiple engagements. A time has come to focus towards competency and professionalism, he said.

Further, he wanted to see that this playfield bring the community closer, better understanding and unity amongst the people.

L. Khel Council chairman Ayie Yhome thanked each and every individuals/committee for their services and efforts towards the successful execution and completion of the project. Yhome also conveyed sincere appreciation to rural development department for allotting the project.  

On behalf of Lhisemia Khel, Yhome congratulated Sekhose for becoming an executive member of All India Football Federation and wished him all success in his assignment.

Meanwhile, L.Khel Council acknowledged Khelietsumia descendants for their generosity in donating the land to Lhisemia khel with a vision that “this playfield would promote and produce sports warriors in future.”

Later, L Khel Council handed over this playfield to Lhisemia Youth Organization (LYO) for management. LYO President, Mhasimhalie Yhome including other frontal organizations, GBs also present at the inaugural programme.
