Talking to media persons here today and asked when the alliance is expecting to form the government, Rio said, “We are making adjustment because we are requesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to come” during swearing-in ceremony.

He said that the alliance is proposing the location of Kohima Local Ground for the swearing-in ceremony by March 7 or 8. He said that necessary consultation is going on in this regard. On official alliance party name in the formation of the government, he said they have proposed “People’s Democratic Alliance”. He, however, said that formal approval is yet to be arrived.

On NDPP winning 18 seats out of 40 contested, Rio said “I am happy but I am not satisfied. It is much below our expectation. Anyway, I am happy.” He further claimed that he had a meeting with National People’s Party (NPP) state unit president today and the latter had “agreed to extend support” to the NDPP-BJP alliance.
