Dimapur, May 5 (MExN): The Lotha Students Union (LSU) expressing outrage at a newspaper article by three persons identified as Likao Lotha, T Chenithung Lotha and Mhademo Shitio of the union which maintained possessing vested interest on the issue of PM’s Package in Wokha by the union.
The LSU taking strong exception against what it called the false allegations contained in the article of the trio strongly condemned the statement “as the trio (was) the real concern citizens of the Lothas who were only supporting the genuine demands of the union.” The LSU affirmed its stand to continuously safeguard all its members and will leave no stones unturned “if anything happens to its concern members either in the form of threat or otherwise.”
It asked concern citizens to take note that the LSU had earlier served two representations to the Nagaland Chief Minister on the issue, dated February 9, 2006 and on March 23, 2006, the reasons of which were clearly stated in the various press releases. “The union is not against implementing the works but stands for review of the estimate(s). The LSU welcomes any development works in any form for betterment of general public of Wokha but shall not bend to any unscrupulous individual(s)/groups with self-interest to hamper (the LSU’s) stand” the students’ body made it clear.
