Mon, May 25 (MExN): The Women Ministry of Police Baptist Church, Mon, organised a three-day couples seminar from May 22 to 24, drawing participation from more than 150 couples from the community.
The seminar, themed “Strengthening the Bond”, aimed at reinforcing the importance of love, faith and mutual trust within marriage.
Renowned resource persons Rev Dr Timothy, president of Community Builders Guwahati, and Dr Konnya Konyak, director of Community Builders Guwahati, led the sessions during the programme.
The husband-wife duo shared insights rooted in biblical principles and practical wisdom on various aspects of married life.
The sessions covered topics including “God’s Design for Marriage: Covenant, Not Contract”, which emphasised the sacred and lifelong commitment of marriage, and “Communication: The Lifeline of Marriage”, focusing on fostering understanding and connection between couples.
Other sessions addressed themes such as “Faithfulness and Trust in a Tempted World”, “Love, Forgiveness, and Healing”, “Managing Finances Together”, and “Building a Christ-Centred Home and Family”.
According to the organisers, the seminar aimed to equip couples with practical tools to address challenges and nurture relationships grounded in biblical values.
The church youth department also played an active role in the event by organising recreational activities, praise and worship sessions, media presentations and volunteer support.
Organisers said the active participation of the youth added vibrancy to the programme and contributed to making the seminar a holistic experience for participants.
As the seminar concluded, the organisers expressed hope that such gatherings would continue to inspire couples to build resilient and loving families rooted in faith and mutual respect.
