Poshan Maah campaign kicks off in Meluri

MELURI, SEPTEMBER 21 (MExN): The Department of Social Welfare, ICDS Project Meluri, organised the launching programme of Poshan Maah at Meluri Village Council Hall on September 18.

Special guest Deputy Commissioner Meluri, Mhathung Tsanglao, NCS, stressed the importance of updating the Facial Recognition System (FRS) and community participation for district development. He urged convergence departments to work collectively to ensure the success of the initiative.

Dr Kelelo Pradia, MO CHC Meluri, highlighted the dangers of obesity and advised reducing sugar and oil intake, while emphasising the importance of a balanced diet for better immunity and overall health.

Sr. Supervisor Watsüsie delivered the welcome address, while CDPO i/c & DPO Meluri, Thorhosie Kajiri, presented the keynote address, outlining this year’s themes: “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” and Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices.

Supervisor Abigail Ritse proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by Poshan Block Coordinator, Kuhuvelu Chotso, who also led the Poshan Pledge. Anganwadi workers, helpers, crèche workers and public leaders attended the launch.
