Power sub-station inaugurated in Niuland

The Power department commissioned 33/11KV, 5MVA sub-station in Niuland was formally inaugurated on August 27 by Tovihoto Ayemi, MLA and Advisor (Power).

Dimapur, August 28 (MExN): The State Power department commissioned 33/11KV, 5MVA sub-station in Niuland was formally inaugurated on August 27.

The sub-station will cater load from 5MVA, through 33KV line emanating from Nito farm. This project was taken up under DDUGJY and formally inaugurated on Saturday by Tovihoto Ayemi, MLA and Advisor (Power).

Earlier, Niuland was connected with 11KV line and the frequency of outages was very high. Now, with 33KV connectivity, outages are expected to reduce and relieve the department, Er Atoho Achumi Executive Engineer Electrical Division Chumukedima, stated in a press release on Saturday.

The programme was attended by K D Vizo, Principal Secretary (Power), Additional Secretary Muhammad Ali, Er Nribemo Mozhui, E-in-C, Er Moa Aier, Chief Engineer/DSALE, Penri Yanthan, Chief Engineer (T&G). The function was presided by Er Tiarneren Walling Addl CE (D&R) and GBs from Niuland Town and adjoining villages attended the inaugural programme.
