Pre-Christmas at Underprivileged Children Home

Dimapur | December 1: The Underprivileged Tribal Children Home Padumpukhuri celebrated pre-Christmas cum Gate dedication programme on Thursday. Speaking at the programme after inaugurating the Gate at the premises of the Children Home, the chief guest Motsuthung Ezung joint secretary, urged the children to inculcate positive attitude and work hard to achieve their goal. He said God has given equal opportunity to people and that it was upto the people to make use of the opportunities. Although the name of the Home is ‘Underprivileged’ yet the inmates are the most privileged as compared to thousands of children who do not have anyone to look after them, he said. Ezung said the inmates were fortunate enough to have someone who could take care of them.
The chief guest said that celebrating pre-Christmas was also a time to rededicate oneself in God and the occasion not to be misused as many youngsters do these days. On the occasion, SDO (Agri) Jacob Yanthan also delivered greetings. Chairman Board of Directors AEF, Rev Dr. Ellis Murry conducted the prayer for installation of new warden of the Children Home. Inmates of the Home presented songs during the function chaired by Director of Underprivileged Tribal Children Home, Rev Kaifa.
