DIMAPUR, MARCH 5 (MExN): President of Nagaland GB Federation K. C. Zhenito Yeputhomi passed away at Dimapur this morning at about 3:30 a.m. after a prolonged illness. He elected was to the post of president in 2010 after serving two tenure as president GB Federation, Zunheboto District. He was also state vice president of erstwhile regional political party NPC. In his early days served in the Naga national movement as captain.
His dead body was taken to Zunheboto town this afternoon where funeral will be held on March 6 at 10 a.m at his resident Old Town Colony after which his mortal remain taken to his native village, Sukhalu for burial.
Meanwhile, in a statement central vice president of Naga People’s Front and DMC advisor, Lepshi Ao has condoled his demise stating that his death was a great loss not only to Sumis but the Nagas in general. Recalling his association with late Zhenito during the time of NPC, Lepshi said found late Zhenito as philosophical and practical man who always thought for the betterment of Naga people. He conveyed to the members of the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal solace for departed soul.
