Primary Health Centre (PHC), Ungma held a felicitation and dedication programme for various donations at PHC Ungma on June 11. PHC Ungma felicitated NLA Speaker, Sharingain Longkumer, Minister, Agriculture & Co-operation, Kaito Aye and Soyim Gazetted Officers’ Association (SGOA).
Sharingain donated two months of his salary towards the PHC and Minister Kaito Aye donated the construction of a toilet while SGOA donated a semi auto analyzing machine.
PHC Ungma MO, Dr Sholongba T Jamir in his vote of thanks thanked the donors including the Ungma Baptist Church for financial help and the Ungma Village Council for constantly helping the PHC financially and materially and also the land owner.
Dr Sholongba also informed that the semi auto analyzing machine will help in testing glucose, liver function test, kidney function test and Lipid profile. Public can avail the test on all days except on Wednesday and Friday.
Ungma Village Council, Chairman, Nungshi Jamir in his exhortation thanked the donors and appreciated the PHC workers including the doctors. He requested the PHC workers to perform their duties diligently and to be regular. “If we utilize the machines and work diligently our PHC can also cater to the needs of the neighbouring villages,” he said.
The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by UBA, Pastor, Rev Dr Noklen Longkumer. Short speeches were shared by Longjakrep Jamir, PRO to Speaker, NLA on behalf of the Speaker, Nokzenkaba on behalf of Minister Kaito Aye and T Mayang, Secretary, SGOA. The welcome address was given by Lim, Chairman, Health Centre & Management Committee, Ungma and the program was chaired by Imyangerla, President, Watsu Mungdang, Ungma Unit.
