The world is going through a blustery wave of adversity with crumbling and fluctuating scenario. At this time of dire need, it is amazing and impressive to see the compassionate cooperation of nations of the world to save India with medical supports, protective backups, and all possible healing related efforts. India must be thankful and know that the Sovereign God has urged and spoken to nations to assist and rescue Indians from the precarious devastation.
God holds the Key: Global infrastructure, political visions, national proliferation, magnificent church buildings, and all human ambitions will come to cease and an end without humanity. Therefore, it is high time to talk about survival of humanity. However, along the way of frantic, hurly-burly and desperate time such as this, we must know that our Creator, God, knows us no matter how well we look up to Him. He is in control of human destiny. He knows what is ahead of us. Who can question that pandemic phenomenon is not a warning and a signal of end time from God?
Averting Delaying: Human days are fragile, scudding and fleeting. But you will be confident if you know your priority. Priority is not a preference. People of Noah’s nation and Sodom and Gomorrah cities were destroyed because they forsook their priority. They were gambling, merrymaking and indulging in immorality. Sadly, they all disappeared in catastrophic end. They knew what was right and wrong, called sin, but they continued lawless life against the holy God. Some people even swam to knock the door of the ark in repentance. But, alas, the door was locked by God Himself. They all sank. It was too late to make a final repentance.
Lockdown is not Hibernation: Covid lockdowns, quarantines, curfews or protocols are not spiritual hibernation and shambling, but they are spiritual hybridization, renewing and purging. Physical SOPs are spiritual SOPs as Spiritual Opportunity of Preparation. It is a time to ensure a higher plane by reading the Word, worshipping God anywhere one may be (John 4:21-24), repenting by confession of misdeeds, hypocrisy, duplicity, and application of wrong manipulation, for forgiveness from God. Tears of remorse and tears of joy are the symptoms of spiritual recovery. Sunshine is speedy behind and beyond the turbulence.
Source of Comfort: The days are unpredictably shaky with psychological depression and trauma. Human atmospheres are scary, strange and wild. Many beloved relatives are suddenly disappearing before a chance of saying ‘Goodbye’. Amid such unsure days, we can find peace and comfort only from the source of life. The offer of the living Lord Jesus is still relevant and can give you peace when he said, “Come unto me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matt 11:28). God welcomes the returnees but on the basis of repentance. The need of the hour is not a speculation but faith-based fact.
Choose Heaven: Physical safety is one thing but spiritual security is another thing. Psychological relaxation is one thing but inner peace is quite another thing. COVID test is one thing but negative from sin-positive is quite another thing. Vaccination is for boosting immune power for resistance. But spiritual readiness precedes all eventualities. Human bodies are discarded in cremation, burial or electrocution. But there is life beyond all this physical decay, disposal and incineration. COVID has no choice but you can choose Heaven. The priority is eternal security. The question is “Where will you spend your Eternity and which eternity are you heading to, if it is today”?
