Private health care establishments asked to apply to NHCEA for license

Kohima, February 4 (MExN): As per the provision of the Nagaland Health Care Establishment Act 1997,  all private health care establishments in the State- general hospital, maternity hospital, nursing home or a clinic, any institution or centre by whatever name called where physically or mentally sick, injured or infirm persons are admitted either as in-patients or out-patients for treatment with or without the aid of operative procedures or a centre catering the radiological, biological and other diagnostic or investigative services with the aid of laboratory or other medical equipments are directed to apply to Nagaland Health Care Establishment Authority for granting of fresh of license or renewal of license in the prescribe proforma as per the requirement of the Act.  

Any person who knowingly establish or maintain a health care establishment which is not duly registered and license under this Act and which is in contravention of the provision of this Act or Rules shall on convict be punishable as per the provisions of the Act.
