The 4th Edition of the ‘Post Christmas Sports cum Reserve Premier League (RPL)’ which was held from December 26 - 29 culminated at Police Unit Football Ground, New Reserve, Kohima.
Defending champions, Project sector- Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) won the RPL trophy played against IG Sector- Kings 11 Punjab (KXIP).
Retaining the trophy for the last three RPL editions, the RCB will take home the trophy permanently.
Earlier, KXIP won the toss and elected to bat first. They scored a total run of 114 in 20 overs.
It was an easy chase for the RÇB as they chased the target in the 17 over wining the match by 7 wickets in hand.
For individual prizes, RCB captain Vilazoto Lerina was the first and only centurion of the 4th edition of RPL 2018. He was given certicate and cash prize for ‘The highest runs scorer’. The highest wicket taker went to Kechesin Keppen of Kings 11 Punjab (KXIP).
Meanwhile, Tekhuba sector (defending champions) emerged as champions of the volleyball tournament against IG sector.
The annual event was initiated by Police Union Baptist Church, Youth Department, New Reserve, Phesama.
