Kohima, March 16 (MExN): The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Assembly held its sitting on March 16 at 12:20 pm in the Committee Room of the Assembly Secretariat under the Chairmanship of Mhathung Yanthan, Speaker Protem, Nagaland Legislative Assembly and finalised the Provisional Programme for the First Session of the 14th Assembly.
The Committee discussed the business to be transacted during the forthcoming Session to be held from March 20 to 28, stated a press release issued by Khruohituonuo Rio, Secretary-In-Charge, NLA.
The following business would be taken up during the Session: Oath/Affirmation by the Members of the 14 NLA; Obituary Reference; Election of Speaker; Governor’s Address; Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s Address; Reporting on Assent to Bills; Laying of Annual Administrative Reports/ Annual Reports; Introduction of the Government Bills; Discussion of the Motion of Thanks on the Governor’s Address; Laying of Reports/Rules; Laying of C&AG Reports; Presentation of Budget for the year 2023-2024; Discussion and Voting on the Budget for the year 2023-2024 (14) Announcement of the Constitution of various Financial and Non-Financial, Committees of the Assembly and Panel of Chairman for the year 2023- 2024 by the Speaker.
