Kohima, August 9 (MExN): The Pfutsero Town Business Association (PTBA) has expressed its appreciation to the Phek District Police for donating CCTV cameras to bolster security and public safety in Pfutsero Town.
In a statement, the PTBA conveyed special thanks to Superintendent of Police, Phek, Dr. Pritpal Kaur, IPS, for sanctioning and approving the donation, and to Officer-in-Charge of Pfutsero Police Station, Vethinu Khamo, UBI, for efficiently coordinating and streamlining the process.
The CCTV cameras have been installed at two strategic points — PWD Junction and Army Camp Junction — both considered critical for monitoring movement and ensuring security. According to the association, the installations will not only meet the safety needs of Pfutsero but also benefit neighbouring villages and towns, given its role as the commercial and logistical hub of Phek District.
PTBA President, Vekusu Chuzho, stated that the cameras would play an important role in “law and order maintenance, crime prevention, public safety, traffic management, and other security-related matters.”
General Secretary, Truvi Rhi, remarked, “Such collaborations are essential in building a town where commerce thrives alongside the well-being of its people, and we look forward to strengthening this partnership for the benefit of Pfutsero and the entire Chakhesang community.
