Phek, April 3 (MExN): The Phek Town Youth Club (PTYC) has today disclosed the latest developmental activities taking place in and around Phek Town, the district head quarter.
In a press statement jointly appended by PTYC President Rukuzo Khamo and Secretary Ato Lohe, the Club stated that in its 28 years of its existence, it has not seen developmental activities taking place in the district head quarter town like in the last 6 years. The statement said that the district hospital, Phek was upgraded from 50 to 100 bedded, introducing the services of an Eye OPD, a regional Diagnostic Centre, Nursing School and host of medical staff quarters besides development in other departments.
Appreciating the charitable gestures undertaken by Minister Azo Nienu, the PTYC also pointed out that during a period of one and half years stint as Minister for R&B, he has undertaken the task of widening the roads at Phek Town, construction of Phek Government College and road leading to New helipad. Besides, Phek Town, development of roads are already visible in Kohima, Dimapur and furthermore, it stated.
Expressing its confidence on the Minister’s leadership, PTYC stated that the road condition in the state would improve for good.
