
DIMAPUR, October 9 (MExN): The Manipur Bhavan, New Delhi organised a condolence meeting at the conference hall of the Bhavan at Sardar Patel Marg here at 5 pm today for the sudden demise of Wungnaoshang Keishing, the sitting Member of Manipur Legislative Assembly elected from Phungyar Assembly Constituency. The condolence meeting was attended by sitting Lok Sabha Member Dr. Thokchom Meinya, Hill Areas Committee Chairman Thangminlen Kipgen, Members of Manipur Legislative Assembly Doukhomang Khongsai, W. Morung Makunga, V. Hangkhanlian, Awangbow Newmei, Y. Surchandra Singh, Dr. Usham Deven Singh, Thangkholun Haokip and Haokholet Kipgen, and other officials posted in New Delhi. After paying floral tributes in front of Keishing’s portrait, a two-minute silence was observed in the meeting as a mark of respect to the departed soul. The meeting shared grief and sorrow of the bereaved family. Dr.Thokchom Meinya MP and Thangminlen Kipgen, Chairman of Hill areas Committee in the meeting felt that the death of W. Keishing was not only a loss to his family members but to the Ukhrul district and the State as a whole.
