Public rally against ‘unabated Illegal taxation’ in Kohima today

The Angami Youth Organization (AYO) is initiating a public rally “against unabated illegal taxations, harassment, intimidation and death threat to common people” on August 6 at 11:00 AM at Old MLA junction, Phoolbari, Kohima.

AYO sincerely requested the public not to park vehicles from TCP Gate Traffic Point to Y Junction, and till LCS Building, Kohima till the completion of the rally.

For the convenience of the participants, AYO will be arranging LCD screens in two points - Near APO Hall & Y. Junction.

In order to escape from traffic snarl, the participants have been requested to come ahead of time. The traffic personnel and volunteers will start manning the flow of vehicular movement from 10:30 AM onwards. The participants have been requested to wear a traditional item of their respective communities.

The rally will be chaired by AYO General Secretary Neidilhoutuo Neibu Sechü. Opening remarks will be given by AYO President Kesosul Christopher Ltu. Speeches will be delivered by Kevesa Khamo, President, Chakhesang Youth Front, Limhathung N Yanthan, President, Lotha Youth Hoho, Muphatho Nyuthe, Acting President, Pochury Youth Organisation, Kegwayhun Tep, President, Rengma Selo Zi, Hekavi H Kinimi, President, Sumi Youth Organisation, R John Zeliang, President, Zeliangrong Youth Organisation Nagaland and Tia Longchar, President, Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation.

Solidarity messages will be delivered by Naga Students' Federation, Eastern Naga Students' Federation, Business Association of Nagas, Dr Khekugha Muru, President Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
