Kohima, January 24 (MExN): The Durbar Hall in Raj Bhavan, Kohima will be renamed as Dr T Imkongliba Hall during the ‘At Home’ programme to be hosted by the Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi at Raj Bhavan on January 26. During the programme, Ravi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will unveil the plaque, rechristening Durbar Hall as ‘Dr T Imkongliba Hall,’ stated a DIPR report.

 

Besides the Governor, short speeches will be CM Rio, Dr SC Jamir and Dr Imkongliba’s son, Tali Longkumer. The Governor and his wife will also  felicitate 21 Naga personalities and Governor’s Award in various categories at the event. Chief Secretary Temjen Toy will deliver the vote of thanks.

 

Late Dr Imkongliba Ao was the president of erstwhile Naga People’s Convention, which among other, submitted the memorandum containing the sixteen points proposal to Indian government before Nagaland statehood.
