MEx: What prompted your society to organize the liquor Prohibition Rally just held recently?

JWWS: Total Prohibition being imposed in the neighboring villages youngsters come to Jalukie town where no such stringent prohibition are imposed, thereby creating unscrupulous activities in and around the vicinity.

MEx: Is there any sign of improvement observed after the protest rally?

JWWS: Stringent checking is being conducted at every life line road. There has been a considerable decline of inflow. However, it is sadly learnt that there are some bootleggers who still procure it through some other viable routes.

MEx: Did you come across any incident worth mentioning during your recently held rally?

JWWS: At the initial stage we encounter strong protest especially from the community of wine vendors who earned their livelihood from the business, questioning us or rather suggesting us that they are willing to give up the business should/if the Govt. provide them any source of alternative jobs to sustain their living.

MEx: How is the situation being dealt at present?

JWWS: Right after the rally we’ve been stringently imposing our resolute agenda to totally root out the said social menace. And we have been conducting surprise raiding almost every week. At one particular incident a lady residing at High School Colony was nabbed red-handed and consequently expelled from the Jalukie Town.

MEx: How is the public responding to your venture?

JWWS: The neighboring villages have whole heartedly supported our cause and extended their willing cooperation by conducting similar raids in their respective villages.

MEx: Morung Express being new a new paper, what advice has you to convey to Morung Correspondents like us?

JWWS: We are really very grateful to have a newspaper correspondent to be interviewing us for the first time; it has been our utmost desire to reach out to our fellow Nagas. To express our joys and sorrows but was not possible due to inaccessible communication, we heartily wish Morung Correspondent to reach out the remotest areas of our state and highlight their grievances to be attended to.
