Random testing detects five COVID-19 cases in NEEPCO Doyang

Wokha, June 23 (MExN): Random sample testing for COVID-19 was conducted at North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) Doyang after a positive case was detected recently. 

The office of Chief Medical Officer, Wokha in a press release said that a medical team led by District Surveillance Officer, Dr William Humtsoe conducted random sample testing at NEEPCO, Doyang on June 23. The team took 42 samples, out of which five were found to be positive. 

The positive persons were consulted by Dr Mhonchan Kithan, Zonal Leprosy Officer Wokha who advised them to self isolate and handed over medicines. 

Dr Dipul Haloi, Medical Officer in charge of NEEPCO Health Centre Doyang said his medical staff is carrying out awareness drive on COVID-19 and they are trying to achieve 100 percent vaccination by July 31.
