Zunheboto, September 10 (DIPR): The District Planning Development Board was held at Zunheboto on September 8 at DC’s conference Hall Zunheboto.
The department activities was presented by Road & Bridges department wherein DC Zunheboto and chief Advisor Town Committee Huskha Yepthomi queried on the low pace of the ongoing road construction between Kantseniu and Zunheboto and further directed the concerned department officers and the contractors for speedy completion of the said work.
With regard to the National Children Science Congress which is to be held in the district from October 21, the DC Zunheboto requested DEO Zunheboto to make the selection at the earliest as other district have already completed the selection. With regard to Chakhabama - Zunheboto road widening which is in progress, the Vice Chairman DPDB requested all the HODs to inform the villagers to extend their support and co-operation, so that the ongoing work could be carried out smoothly. With regard to up gradation of St. Augustines School, which is under Catholic mission, the Board discussed at length and approved for recommendation to the higher authority. The meeting concluded with thanks from the chair.
