Dimapur, June 8 (MExN): A man hailing from Zunheboto’s Satakha village has been arrested for driving under the influence of liquor, running into an NAP (IR) soldier and then ramming into another vehicle. The IR man was injured and his service rifle in the accident, Dimapur police said. The reckless driver has been identified as one Kitoho Achumi (38), from Satakha village and a current resident of 4th mile, Dimapur. He was arrested on the night of June 7. The accused was driving under the influence, in a Maruti and driving on the wrong side of the lane. He hit an IR man who was on patrol at the Super Market, injuring the soldier and damaging his rifle. The driver then rammed his vehicle into a parked bus of the unit, police said in a note today.
