Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): The Superintendent of Police, Wokha Menangmeren and the Governing Body of the Regimental School, DEF Wokha organised a felicitation programme for successful HSLC Students on June 10.
SP Menangmeren encouraged the students to keep their ambitions high and to work hard to achieve their goals in life, a press release informed. While lauding the school and teachers, he urged the teachers to guide the students in the right direction and continue to serve the students and the community with dedication and commitment. He also assured all possible help and assistance from the office, the release stated.
The SP gave away cash awards and certificates to all the successful candidates along with an award for subject teachers whose students passed with distinction. Altogether seven students appeared the exams and all qualified. This is the second year in a row where the school has attended 100% pass result, the release stated.
The programme was chaired by Richard Patton (Asst Teacher), N Zubenthung Ngullie, Pastor Unit Church, pronounced the invocation prayer while Tumchobemo Yanthan, Addl SP Wokha and Chairperson of the School Governing Body delivered the welcome address. Headmaster of the school pronounced the vote of thanks and the programme was concluded with prayer by Myingthungo Ezung, Associate Pastor, Unit Church, the release stated.
