'GB of Phiro was not kidnapped'
Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): A press note received here clarified that Renchumo Odyuo (GB) of Phiro village was not kidnapped by a faction of an underground group in connection with the council chairman election. The note stated that it was a rumor to tarnish the image of the GB and there was no question of kidnapping whatever. The note was issued by Renchumo Odyuo GB, Phiro village.
Beneficiaries directed to renew ration cards
Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The BPL and AAY beneficiaries under Dimapur district have been informed that the last date of submission of ration cards for renewal for the year 2011-2013 is on April 29. Any beneficiaries who have not submitted their ration cards for renewal are reminded to submit on or before the stipulated date. Failing which their ration cards will be forfeited and no further claims will be entertained, informed the assistant director of Supply , Dimapur, Temsu Jamir in a press note.
AYC induction prog conducted
Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The AYC 2 Dmr-II A/C ‘induction programme’ was held on April 21 at Jekyll & Hyde Restaurant, Dimapur. The programme started with introduction speech by AYC President Mughavi Swu followed by speeches fro various dignitaries. The closing speech was delivered on behalf of AYC 2 Dmr-II A/C S. Meren Walling while vote of thanks was given by Tito Yeptho, vice president AYC. The AYC 2 Dmr-II A/C AG Secretary Aloto Awomi in a press release also informed that new members were inducted for the post of vice president-Tito Yeptho, AG secretaries Richard Shikhu and Aloto Awomi and 11 other secretaries.
The Chakhesang Catholic Community common Sunday Service on May 1
Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The Chakhesang Catholic Community will be having a common Sunday Service on May 1 at Catholic Publication Centre (CPC) Kohima at 10:30 am. In this regard, all the members are requested to attend the service without fail. Highlights of the service will include Homily by Kepswu John, exhortation by Deo Dukru and Lecho Krocha, Bible Reading by Mhasheyi, Wezotsonyi and Gospel reading by Nikhi, while it will be chaired by Zavise Rume. A special number will be given by the Tenyizu Parish, informed a press note.
