NNC Yimchungrii Region declares Army Rule

DIMAPUR, JUNE 17 (MExN):
The NNC Yimchungrii Region at its meeting held on 16th June 2011 at Jasher Village (Tuensang) in the presence of all its civil authorities and army officers resolved to declare Army Rule within its Region for three months in the best interest of the Region in particular. “The NNC Yimchungrii Region informs that the declaration of Army Rule was owing to create division among its Region, leading to corruption and misleading of the functioning of the Region Authority”, stated a press note signed by Brig Kiuthsang, Commandant APJ Kiorun and Major R. Keoshu. he region has also “warned all the Regions including its own Region to stop all the misleading paper wars against the legitimate Region Authority”. “The decision and resolution adopted on 2nd June was final and declared to all concerned. Therefore there is no confusion, misleading or any controversy on this matter of decision taken against Kiumukam”, stated the press note. The Meeting also resolved to arrest anybody who react or oppose the decision and resolution adopted by the Region Authority in this matter of Political situation in the Region.

Essay & painting competition at Dimapur today

Dimapur, June 17 (MExN):
The Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) is organizing an essay and painting competition on June 18 at Dimapur Government College from 9.00 am onwards.  The union has informed all the participating Institute to send the students at the venue by 8.30 am and get registered. “Participating Institute please note that an “Essay Competition” will be on the theme: “The Role of Students In Balancing The Symbolic Relation” in words between 1200-1500 words and the category will be from Class-XI to Degree level.  In “Painting Competition” will be on the theme “GREEN IS CLEAN” and the category will be from Class-VIII to Class-X, for which only colour pencil will be allowed,” stated a press note.

Training of Trainers under IDSP

DIMAPUR, JUNE 17 (MExN):
A six days national level Training of Trainers (ToT) will be held under Integrated Disease Surveillance project, Nagaland, from 20th to 25th June at Medical Directorate conference hall.  The training is organized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi, informed a press note from Dr Neiphi Kire, Additional Director, IDSP, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare. The resource persons will come from the All India Institute of Hygiene and Public Health, Kolkata.  The trainees will include State/District Disease Surveillance team and key medical officers from various districts and departments including Para-military forces. They will be trained as master trainers who in turn will impart training to the respective districts. The training aims to equip the trainees on disease surveillance, epidemic preparedness, and response to
disease outbreaks.

Air India flight reschedule, revised time

DIMAPUR, JUNE 17 (MExN):
The Station Manager Air India Ltd Dimapur has informed that in view of operational reason flight AI705 for June 18 expected time of departure from Dimapur is revised to 1630 hrs instead of 1320 hrs for Dimapur/Calcutta. Therefore, all joining passenger of AI705 for DMU/CCU are requested to report for check-in at Dimapur airport at 1500hrs. Passenger of cancelled AI9702 dated 17 June are also requested to report at airport for check in for AI705 June 18 at 1500hrs.
