Wokha, September 13 (DIPR): Nagaland Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry inaugurated the Regional Diagnostic Centre at Dr. Motsuo Memorial District Hospital Wokha on September 9.
Addressing during the inaugural function the chief guest said, with the starting of this RDC the health care services to the people will be improved to a great deal. He also urged the Doctors and nurses to be more sincere so that their services should benefit the people. He also thanked the land owners for their persistent support and co-operation.
Principal Director & Co-Chairman EC SHS Department of Health and Family Welfare Nagaland, Dr. R Imtimeren Jamir who also spoke on the occasion said, construction of this RDC has been a long desired dream of the department and expressed gratitude to the Minister H & FW and Commissioner & Secretary H & FW, department officials and contractors for their sincere efforts in different manners which has contributed in timely completion of the construction process.
The RDC was constructed with the fund provided by the Government of India as one-time-grant. The department has tried to judiciously utilize the entire amount for construction of the building and also purchased necessary equipments for the Centre. RDC Wokha is apparently equipped with the basic minimum facilities necessary to conduct investigative and diagnostic procedures of various diseases, he added. He also stated that, health is a subject that concerns everybody and felt that the matter should not be left to the department alone adding; the public should come forward and contribute generously for the upkeep of this Hospital. He called upon every concerned and responsible citizen in the district to generate the sense of responsibility and ownership of the hospital and actively participate in making this hospital one of the best in the state.
Commissioner & Secretary Planning M. Patton, Secretary Land Revenue YL Jami and Secretary Power Merio Tsanglao also attended the inauguration function.
