Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): The Regional Presidents of the GPRN/NNC (AB) have strongly condemned what they termed as “interference in government affairs” by Kitoho H Zhimomi.
He has not only attempted to “discredit” President SS Pongkhu Naga, but has also spread “baseless propaganda on various social media platforms,” maintained a statement issued on behalf of the Regional Presidents by Suijwa, President, Zeliangrong Region (Assam, Manipur, Nagaland) of GPRN/NNC (AB).
The statement further called the actions “highly irresponsible and unacceptable” by someone who recently merged with other entities to “misuse the identity and name of the GPRN/NNC (AB) for personal gain or influence.”
“Such actions are deceptive, dishonourable, and an affront to the collective leadership and integrity of our government,” it asserted.
The Regional Presidents further made it “unequivocally clear” that Kitoho has no right to claim ownership of or speak on behalf of the GPRN/NNC (AB) in any manner and stated that any “attempt to do so is not only misleading but also poses a threat to the unity and credibility of our organisation.”
Accordingly, they cautioned him to “cease and desist immediately from using the name or identity of GPRN/NNC (AB) in markets and media platforms from today” or face “firm consequences.”
The Regional Presidents also conveyed “unwavering solidarity” with President Pongkhu and reaffirmed their commitment to defend the “integrity and functioning of our government from both internal and external threats.”
